What Customers Say About The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve:

Well worth the price and the time it takes to read. This is one of the most important history books most of us will ever read.

It's simplistic, humourous, and loaded with inaccuracies.Libertarians with guns should leave the business of government to the eggheads. The author notes that a reader might be intimidated by the number of pages, so to expedite reading, chapter summaries can be read that will easily explain the information. In fact, the book is a very easy read, one that can be knocked out in a weekend. Trust me, we're much better off that way. Ding-a-ding-ding-ding-a-ding. On a warm summer night, on a train bound for Jekyll Island, I met up with a group of robber barons and we plotted to usurp the financial infrastructure of the US, with a cabal of institutions known as federal reserve banks, that were private in nature, neither federal nor banks. As noted by a previous reviewer, I found this to be written at an 8th grade level, both in style and substance.

Between this book and "Tragedy & Hope" by Carroll Quigley- it should be quite obvious to the reader that strange things are afoot in our dear Republic. The coming civil "opportunities" which will eventually turn into mandatory service of the young. Griffin is meticulous in footnotes and citations- which I verified a number of them as being accurate.

Giving more power to the Fed- which has recently been discussed by the Obama admin. ie- Read Rahm Emmanuel's "The Plan." In other words ladies & gents- we're screwed and the tentacles have gone too deep. By giving more money to the IMF- as of last week they were given a few billion.

I treat my books like they are my children- and I know you shouldn't pick favorites- but this is by far my favorite book that wasn't divinely inspired. In terms of bailing out banks & large corporations. Hold on, the next few years are going to be a bumpy ride.

Though the topic can seem intimidating- the book reads as easy as conversation- but not condescendingly. Griffin's predictions for the future course of the world- entitled "A Pessimistic Scenario"- is shocking at how close he is to what is currently happening in our economy today.

It is several hundred pages long and I was sorry that I reached the end.great book. You will feel like your eyes have been opened. This is a must read for anyone that wants to know how the country, and the world is actually run, and by who. You view of the world will change.

When finished, you should have a new understanding of the foundations of power in this country, and why we are no longer a constitutional republic. It is a big book, but not difficult to read. What a great book. Should be read by every American, at least those who can.
